Here is our little ladybug:

We are naming her Grace Claire, but her Chinese name is: Chuan Ou Fuzhou
She was born April 30, 2007 and found abandoned on 6/26/07.
She is 30.3 inches tall & weighs 20 lbs. She has 16 teeth and walks alone steadily.
The orphanage describes her as active & restless. We have our work cut out for us.
Her medical report is that she is healthy with no issues.
Travel time is approximately 5-8 weeks from now.
We are on Cloud 9

  8. I've followed your story on Adopt Talk too, and I'm very happy for you. I wish you and the cats well.
Our grandbaby arrived last June and one of the resident cats still tries to sleep in her changing cradle and the other one-who is usually anti-social- allows our Gracie to pull on her tail and usually plops herself right down near Gracie. Maybe Your cats won't have to run.

  9. She is so beautiful! Congratulations! Our daughter was just measured in at 30" and 23.5lbs. She is wearing a solid 12 months size, with a few things a little snug on her big tummy. Grace Claire should fit perfectly in them, such a tiny girl!

  13. Congratulations on your beautiful girl. Our youngest, from Guizhou, was 23 months when adopted and she had a similary stony expression in her referral pics--but is actually a very giggly happy happy girl. I love the sweater Grace is wearing in the pictures!

  22. Sounds like there must have been a note left with her for them to know her birth date. If it were a guess date (4/30)then it would have been the same date as the abandonment date (6/26). That's just my interpretation. Our Mia was found on 6/20/06 and they estimated her to be born 10 months prior, so they put her birthdate at 8/20/05. Something you may want to ask about. I am so happy for you. We only waiting 17 months. It is time for you to rejoice!

  23. Hi. You don't know me either, but I came across a link to your blog on RQ. Congratulations! How well I remember the excitement of getting that call!! Coincidently...our daughter's name was Fu Chuan Tong....very similar to your daughter's. She came to us from Fuzhou in the Jiangxi Province. You'll be holding your daughter in your arms before you know it!
