Here is our little ladybug:
We are naming her Grace Claire, but her Chinese name is: Chuan Ou Fuzhou
She was born April 30, 2007 and found abandoned on 6/26/07.
She is 30.3 inches tall & weighs 20 lbs. She has 16 teeth and walks alone steadily.
The orphanage describes her as active & restless. We have our work cut out for us.
Her medical report is that she is healthy with no issues.
Travel time is approximately 5-8 weeks from now.
We are on Cloud 9

ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable! Now take a deep breath and get ready for the most amazing day to hold her! Best wishes for all of you!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know me, but I have followed your story on RQ. I am so happy for you! Your daughter is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteFurry kids----start running----Grace Claire is on her way!
She is just beautiful, congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your beautiful girl.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your referral!! Your daughter is just precious!
ReplyDeletethanks everyone...your kind words mean alot! The cats will run and hide under the beds when Gracie gets home HAHAHA
ReplyDeleteI've followed your story on Adopt Talk too, and I'm very happy for you. I wish you and the cats well.
ReplyDeleteOur grandbaby arrived last June and one of the resident cats still tries to sleep in her changing cradle and the other one-who is usually anti-social- allows our Gracie to pull on her tail and usually plops herself right down near Gracie. Maybe Your cats won't have to run.
She is so beautiful! Congratulations! Our daughter was just measured in at 30" and 23.5lbs. She is wearing a solid 12 months size, with a few things a little snug on her big tummy. Grace Claire should fit perfectly in them, such a tiny girl!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I have see your posts on RQ and my prayers have gone out to you. To be skipped then this crazy flu delay...I'm sure all the pain is gone once you looked into that beautiful face!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations...Grace Claire is beautiful :)

Congratulations on your beautiful girl. Our youngest, from Guizhou, was 23 months when adopted and she had a similary stony expression in her referral pics--but is actually a very giggly happy happy girl. I love the sweater Grace is wearing in the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOMG, how precious! You two will turn that 2 year old pout upside down in no time! Go get her! Love the baby's room, but I bet she can vault outta that crib. Our DD did at just over 2 years old...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, at last ! I am so happy for you, after the extra angst you experienced the last month or so!
Ohhh, she is such a BEAUTY!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love her pretty little serious face! She is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and may your TA come soon!

So thrilled for you! Congratulations!!

Congratulations!! She is so cute.
ReplyDeleteOur Mia was a toddler NSN referral. If you have any questions please email us. Your daughter is a beautiful gal. What a blessing.
ReplyDeleteSounds like there must have been a note left with her for them to know her birth date. If it were a guess date (4/30)then it would have been the same date as the abandonment date (6/26). That's just my interpretation. Our Mia was found on 6/20/06 and they estimated her to be born 10 months prior, so they put her birthdate at 8/20/05. Something you may want to ask about. I am so happy for you. We only waiting 17 months. It is time for you to rejoice!
ReplyDeleteHi. You don't know me either, but I came across a link to your blog on RQ. Congratulations! How well I remember the excitement of getting that call!! Coincidently...our daughter's name was Fu Chuan Tong....very similar to your daughter's. She came to us from Fuzhou in the Jiangxi Province. You'll be holding your daughter in your arms before you know it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We adopted a two year old last year. Best wishes for your journey!
